Apply a glob of glue to small end of a chopstick. Skewer a foam ball onto the glued end of the chopstick.

Measure out 13.2 m (the equivalent of 33 cm x 40 lengths) of white acrylic yarn. Place the yarn in a small bowl and pour entire bottle of glow-in-the-dark fabric paint. Add 40 millilitres of water and massage the solution into the yarn. Set the yarn aside to dry – you can drape the yarn like spaghetti on a clothesline.

Fold the yarn into forty 33 cm lengths, and bundle together, tying a knot in the middle. Cut the folded ends of the yarn bundle.

Apply a blob of glue to the top of the foam ball. Press the middle of the yarn bundle to the glue. Spread the yarn lengths around the foam ball, covering the entire surface area. Below the foam ball tie a ribbon around the yarn and then add a bow. Glue two googly eyes onto the yarn-covered ball.

Hold the ghost near a strong light source for a minute or so to activate the phosphorescence. Turn out the lights and watch your ghost fly around.
