Patented OTW spinning technology makes luminous, clean, long lasting and low pilling yarns.

Innovation in Textiles  |  Nuremberg, Germany

The latest yarn collection from Südwolle Group, based in Nuremberg, Germany,  builds on a renewed interest in heritage and the essential properties of wool, based on certified fibres produced with chlorine-free anti-shrinkage treatments for products that are easy to care for and wash at home at low temperatures.

Blends of wool and viscose that is FSC-certified and sourced from responsibly-managed forests enable the production of clothes that are biodegradable at the end of their life cycle, and cationic Danufil deep dye viscose leads to a reduction of the energy required for dyeing processes since it can be dyed after being blended with wool. In addition, the blends create interesting melange effects, thanks to the variation in colour absorption.

Technical, GRS-certified wool blends with recycled polyesters and polyamides from pre and post-consumer sources are also available on request for customised yarns.

Other sustainable new materials used in the Südwolle Group collection include Seaqual, a polyester upcycled from marine plastic, and Q-Nova, a recycled, extremely durable polyamide filament with excellent dyeing effects.

The ollection is further enriched by a range of OTW yarns, made with patented Omega Twist spinning technology, which resilts in reduced pilling, increased elasticity, resistance and durability. The range of OTW includes yarns in the finest pure wool, such as OTW Campiglia Nm 120/2 and OTW Volturno Fine Nm 76/2.

Südwolle Group employs more than 3,000 people with production facilities in Germany, Italy, Poland, Romania, Bulgaria, China and Vietnam.
