Wellness brand Ecoelate is extending its reach by continuously opening stores.

Offering Fairtrade, organic, banana fibre and hemp-based kids, womens and menswear, the Ecoelate brand is geared up to expand across India by franchise model.

The Tirupur-based brand recently opened its store in Puducherry and now has a total of three stores. It also has plans to open two more stores in Coimbatore and Bengaluru.

Anandi Enterprises, the company behind Ecoelate, is GOTS- and GRS 4.0-certified. It has been catering to yarn and fabrics in the domestic and international markets and working with major retail brands as a supply chain manager for more than a decade.

The company’s yarn and fabrics also used in collections of prestigious brands and retailers like C&A, Walmart, H&M, Li & Fung, Marks & Spencer and Decathlon.

It has own brand ‘Recca’ for Recycled Cotton and Polyester for yarns and fabrics, which is produced in its own spinning unit. It also produces coloured and OE yarns in 70 per cent recycled cotton with 30 per cent recycled polyester solid colours and Melange yarn.

RS Balagurunathan, founder of the company and a Textile Technologist, told Apparel Resources, “As a wellness brand, we want to be directly in touch with customers so that they can have a better understanding of our products and we can also get their feedback. So far our response is overwhelming and we will have all India presence by franchise model.”

He further added that through wellness brand and sustainable range of products, the company is supporting the entire society as farmers are getting premium on organic cotton farming, Fairtrade is also being supported and natural resources are being saved.
